For the last 18 years Harley Davidson has sponsored a Benefit for Muscualr Dystrophy. This year set a new fund raising record. For the last 10 years we have provided photographs of each corporate table and many individual portraits on a Harley Davidson motorcycle. The highlight for me every year is to meet and photograph the Goodwill Ambassador and the Honorary Road Captains. This year Reagan Imhoff the 2100 Goodwill Ambassador came to the studio with the Honorary Road Captains, Sean & Julie Cummings, and Andrew & Lori Barrieau for a couple of photographs for the Program. She is one incredible girl. Her mom Julie says about raising Reagan: "Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass; it's about learning to dance in the rain."
I have been humbled by the generosity of the 1000 guests who come every year and take part in this incredible night for Muscular Dystrophy. We will see you next year!
I was reading an article about the tornadoes that ravaged the south recently. As people searched the rubble for anything left of their lives, many people commented about the joy they had when they found a few precious family photographs. Made me think about all those images that are on Facebook, CD’s and cell phones. If you don’t have a print you don’t have a photograph. Be sure to make prints of the images you love, your memories.
Can you believe it? We are in full swing with photographing High School Seniors Portraits from the Class of 2012! Here is our commercial playing at the Majestic Theatres in Waukesha. Our models are all over the Greater Milwaukee Area, including Brookfield, Elm Grove, Pewaukee, Delafield, Muskego, Menomonee Falls, New Berlin, Wauwatosa, Hartland, and Oconomowoc. That’s right. Now some moms my want to keep it, each family will have to figure that out for themselves!!
It’s always exciting to meet new people and to learn new techniques. I just got back from a session in Las Vegas where I got to work with 25 of the top photographers in the US. We spent one week photographing models including cast members of Cirque du Soleil. It was very inspiring to share ideas and learn cutting edge posing and lighting techniques from each other. Old dogs can learn new tricks! I am excited and energized to use this inspiration in my work.
